Early last year one of the most watched music composer Harris jeyaraj in the tamil industry did his first Telugu film Sainikudu. The tracks were an instant sell out, however a lot of direct influences were drawn from Rahman’s masterpiece Dil Se.
Harris, having worked with Rahman earlier has the same taste that Rahman had in his earlier days. The bass notes, the groove and the layers of improvisations of a flat loop.
I have ‘studied’ the music of Sainukudu and drawn several parallels to Harris’ influence from Dil Se for his sound track of Sainikudu. [click to continue...]
