When bollywood voted and showed the wrong finger

During the Lok Sabha elections in Mumbai, the election commision was told that the ink mark in the finger of manyvoters  remained  due a recent local body elections. Owing to this, the commision granted permission to put the ink mark in the middle finger. All our bollywood friends who voted, started showing the middle finger! What if someone did not vote in the local body elections, I think then the election officer should have put the mark on the appropriate finger i think. Take a call!
