En Swasa katre ( Stay Humble and still #1) edit mix

en-swasa-katre-bmpI know most of you out there who follow Rahman have not forgotten the soulful melody of the title track of En Swasa Katre ( My Life’s breath : Tamil). This track is very intense in its melody elements and extremely smooth in arrangement. No percussions, just the minimum needed for that ambient mood with great lyrics. It takes quite an effort to judge what to remove from a track for that extra effect! and  It helps to rewind occasionally and check on those tracks that he did about 8 to 9 years ago to note how ahead of time some of his compositions were.

With this, i thought of looking at the track in a new perspective.  Just to satisfy my appetite for creativity. I have redone this superb track and gave an R&B/hip-hop feel while retaining the very essence of the original track ( which i always try to retain). Rahman stays humble and is still #1, and i have repeated this sample phrase all over this mix because i think he deserves this.

I think this is the way Harris Jayaraj would have approached the track given the same melody and key!!. With respect
