I had earlier made a mix of Kannai Katti Kollathey- the tamil track from Iruvar and it was quite an interesting attempt to redub the tamil voice track and replace the same with the Malayalam version which he gave. Incidently, few months ago a Mallu band called Naked Prism had sent me some guitar and drum session tracks. Said i could use em’ wherever i want because they liked my mixes! Well atleast somebody does. Also that the bunch of talented college dudes were rahman fans and they wanted me to use what they played somewhere,anywhere!!

Now this version of the mix contains select samples cut from the tracks that Naked Prism sent me. I used some of their drums and guitar tracks!

Now i feel as if i have truly collaborated for a mega project!!!..ha ha . Anyways checkout this interesting mix

As a norm, i tried a version of my own here which i present.The thing about Rahman’s tracks is that there is usually a subtle increase in energy levels towards the end of the track. Perhaps because of the awesome layers he incorporates or the catchy hook that is looped many times using instruments and vocals. I tried a similar technique here with layers. I am sure you will find an increase in the energy levels of this mix as you listen to the end.
